about Cruze

Hey! My name is Cruze Zychowski, currently living in Phoenix, Arizona. I first started showing an interest in art during high school and had a lot of fun making unique and creative things with a bunch of my friends. Above all else, seeing different types of art posted on people's Tumblr blogs really inspired what I might be able to make one day. After a while of experimenting with different styles, I chose to enroll in academic workshops from 2016-2018, with an emphasis on making portraits, figure studies and still-lifes with charcoal pencils and oil paint, and consider this period of time to be incredibly useful and rich in information to heighten my skills.

Now, I work with a focus on oil painting and works with ink on paper, among other mediums. I feel more at ease when my style is less rigid and uptight; most of my favorite artists belong to the Impressionist / Expressionist eras. Enjoy =)
